Emploment History:
Has spent whole working life on research and development of methods applicable to solving the technical problems associated with the detection, location and identification of nuclear explosions.
1977 to 1981: Technical Advisor to the UK Delegation during the trilateral CTBT negotiations.
1994 to 1996: Technical Advisor to the UK Delegation during the CTBT negotiations. (Played a major role in the CTBT verification discussions, acting as Friend of the Chair for Verification and Chairman of the Experts for the duration of the negotiations).
Currently: Deputy Head, Forensic Seismology Group, Blacknest, AWE Aldermaston and a member of the UK Delegation to the Working Group B of the CTBT Preparatory Commission meetings in Vienna.

Publications:

Has over 100 published papers and reports, of which almost all are concerned with the technical problems of treaty monitoring.
