Education: Ph.D. in geophysics in 1977, University P. Sabatier, Toulouse and in 1989, University P. and M. Curie, Paris. Career History: 1978 onwards: Staff member of the Laboratory Detection and Geophysics, Department Analysis, Monitoring and Environment of the French Atomic Energy Commission. 1996 onwards: Senior Expert, Atomic Energy Commission. Professional Accomplishments: 1994-1996: Member of the infrasound expert group, mandated for the definition of the International Monitoring System dedicated to the control of the CTBT. Many years of experience in electromagnetism and infrasound monitoring. Research interests include the study of natural and man-made disturbances and the effects of powerful atmospheric explosions. Methodologies are HF radar, electromagnetic measurements, microbarographs and satellites. Principal investigator of experiments for the study of infrasounds from explosions and lightning in the US, Ivory Coast and France. Professional Affiliations: Member of the European Geophysical Society Member of the Acoustical Society of America Member of the Geomagnetism and Geodesy Committee Member of the International Research Group of Geophysics in Europe-Africa Publications: More than 20 papers in international geophysics journals.
